Compasionate care for

your loved ones with a

personal touch.

Hospice care is a type of health care that focuses on the palliation of a terminally ill patient's pain and symptoms and attending to their emotional and spiritual needs at the end of life. Hospice care prioritizes comfort and quality of life by reducing pain and suffering.

Bayou Hospice provides in-patient care when a patient is in crisis, and symptoms are better managed at a facility wherein 24 hour nursing is available to stabilize and manage symptoms as they occur. We provide respite care for families experiencing fatigue. Medications, supplies, and equipment are also provided.

Continuous care is designed to assist with symptom control of a patient who has not been responsive to medication changes in the plan of care and documentation substantiates the need for crisis intervention. This program provides up to 24 hour of nursing care at the bedside of patient to adjust medication as symptoms occur. Continuous care will end when patient becomes comfortable and symptoms are fully managed or the patient has passed away.
